STORY
The Pantanal Project is a non-profit art fundraiser, a joint effort between Brooklyn-based restaurant Pitanga, non-profit Ampara Silvestre and Brazilian photographer Guilherme Giovanni, to aid humanitarian and wildlife efforts in the Pantanal region. Giovanni’s Gallery prints of the
Pantanal region, known for its biodiversity, lurking crocodiles and the largest population of Jaguars in the world, were hung and released an auctioned at exhibition. All profits were donated via Ampara Silvestre, and used to combat corporate greed, habitat destruction and assist climate change efforts in Brazil.
